ONSITE AUCTIONS

All persons attending are notified that they will have to operate within the strict safety guidelines and comply with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (1984) and the Occupational Safety & Health Regulations (1996). Fully covered footwear must be worn and/or appropriate safety clothing etc.

Persons attending are advised that an auction site may be a potentially hazardous area. Flammable, noxious, corrosive and pressurised substances may be present, lifting equipment and electric circuits could be alive.

Every person at the auction site before, during and after the auction sale shall be deemed to be there at there own risk. No person shall have any claim against the Auctioneers, there agents, employees or principles for any injuries sustained not for damages to or loss of property which may occur from any cause whatsoever.

NOTICE TO PURCHASERS:

INSPECTION:
Day prior to Auction or as advertised. Morning of sale and by prior arrangement with the Auctioneers.

AUCTION SALE:
Commences as advertised or stated in catalogue. Lots to be sold in catalogue order.

SALE PROCEDURES:
Prior to the Auction each Purchaser must complete a numbered registration card under which s/he purchases.

TIME OF PAYMENT:
All invoices must be paid by 12.00 noon the next working day following the Auction.

PAYMENT:
Should be made either direct to the auctioneers Clerk on the auction premises or by telegraphic transfer to the Auctioneers' bank, details of which are available from the auctioneer.

Payment of invoices is required by cash, direct deposit, certified bank cheque or by arrangement prior to the commencement of the Auction with the Auctioneers.

COMPANY CHEQUE:
A letter should be obtained by prior arrangement from your bank stating the amount up to which your cheques will be honoured. This letter should be handed to the Auctioneers account staff prior to commencement of the auction. Failure to supply this bank reference will lead to delay in allowing you to take delivery of your lots until your cheque is cleared.

DEPOSITS:
A twenty percent (20%) deposit may be required on the fall of the hammer unless prior arrangement has been made with the Auctioneers.

RISK:
The bidder is at risk once the hammer falls and is strongly advised to effect insurance at once. Neither the vendor nor the auctioneers are to be responsible for any accident or damage to life or limb of property which may occur prior to or during the progress of the sale, or at any time during the removal of the lots which must be entirely at the purchasers risk.

DELIVERY:
All items must be removed by 4.00pm the working day following the Auction.

NON TRANSFER OF LOTS:
The auctioneers will only accept payment from and permit removal of lots purchased by the purchaser successfully bidding at the sale or the purchaser's agent.

FINANCE COMPANIES:
The auctioneers will draw attention of the buyers contemplating purchasing goods through a finance company to the importance of making such arrangements well in advance of the sale so they make payment in accordance with the condition of sale.

ABSENTEE BIDS:
Absentee bids may be left with the auctioneers provided the buyer has filled out a bidding instruction sheet and paid the twenty percent deposit requested by the auctioneers, and lodged the bidding instructions sheet with the auctioneers no later then 12 noon on the day prior the auction sale.

REMOVAL ENGINEERS:
If applicable, removal engineers and transport representatives will attend the site to discuss transport and crane costs.

AUCTION CONDITIONS:
The attention of Purchase is drawn to the condition of sale included in the catalogue. For the purpose of this auction the word auctioneers refers to John A Bell Auctioneers & Valuers.
